Changing Strings – Fear Not!

UNEDITED SAMPLE BLOG

You can do it.  Your teacher doesn’t have to.  I meet all kinds from “I let my teacher tune my violin and I just use fine tuners all the way” to “I’m building my violin from scratch, and if I could build strings from scratch, I would.”

Ever notice that angels are always saying, “Don’t be afraid.”  I think that must be because it would be pretty intimidating to have an angel show up in full glory and bring you a message.

Well, I’m no angel, but I do have some good news – it isn’t hard to change your strings.

(Don’t be thrown when Fiddlerman Pierre starts threading the string through a peg that is out of the violin scroll.  That’s just to make it easier for you to see.  He follows it up by attaching the string to the peg exactly as you will.)

You can do it!  Just don’t be afraid and have a little faith that it will be alright.

This would be a great place to link to some strings at Fiddlershop or Amazon. 🙂
